Current Projects - energizing the design community with innovative ways to get involved

The Say Something Poster Project

What would you say to the Next Generation? Would you warn them about the dangers of offshore drilling or would you encourage them to learn about different cultures and people.

Whether it’s a life lesson or issue you want to see changed, here’s your chance to express it through poster design and say something that will inspire, educate or motivate teenage kids.

UPDATE: We are currently fundraising on Kickstarter.com. Donate now to help us reach our goal of $5000 so that we can host an awesome design competition.

You can also watch our video to learn more and soak up a ton of inspiration.

Project Details

The Say Something Poster Project is a poster design competition and gallery show created to generate posters for The Home for Little Wanderers (The Home), a non-profit child and family service agency located throughout Eastern Massachusetts.

The goal of this poster project is to support The  Home’s counseling and educational services by reshaping their surroundings with engaging imagery. Ultimately, posters will provide a source of positive reinforcement that kids at The Home will be exposed to everyday.

Competition Details

Official Site launch is October. 1st. Please check back for complete rules and instructions on how to enter.

In the mean time, support our project by donating at Kickstarter.com or stay in touch by joining our Facebook page.

Small Talk: 3 or 4 Questions to 150 Designers

For our first project, DIMT is reaching out to 150 design professionals to learn about their interests, involvements and favorite things. From sneaker designers to web developers, students to studio owners, they’re all sharing their story on how they become designers and how to avoid common (and not so common) mistakes.

Interviews are short and spicy with a customized format to transform each Q&A into its own Facebook post. Everyday a new interview is posted on the DIMT Facebook Wall.
